Everything you need to know about ABA therapy at Rainbow Smiles LLC.
Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based therapy that helps children build communication, social, academic, and daily living skills while reducing behaviors that interfere with learning and independence. It uses reinforcement and individualized strategies tailored to each child's unique needs and goals.
Rainbow Smiles LLC provides services for children and adolescents from early intervention (as young as age 2) through age 18. Whether your child is just starting their developmental journey or transitioning into young adulthood, our programs are designed to grow with them.
In most cases, ABA services are provided to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), though some insurance plans may cover ABA for other developmental or behavioral needs. We recommend contacting our office directly so we can review your child's diagnosis and insurance benefits together
Getting started typically involves an initial consultation, a diagnostic review, an insurance benefits check, and a comprehensive assessment (such as a Functional Behavior Assessment) before we design an individualized treatment plan. Our team will guide you through each step and handle the insurance authorization process on your behalf.
We currently are actively expanding our network to accept more plans in the future. Please reach out — we're continuously adding new payers and may still be able to help through single-case agreements or private pay options.
Costs depend on your specific insurance plan, including your deductible, copay, and coinsurance. Our billing team will verify your benefits before services begin and clearly explain any expected out-of-pocket costs so there are no surprises.
We provide services in a variety of settings, including your home, community, and school (where applicable), depending on your child's individualized treatment plan and what best supports generalization of skills.
Recommended therapy hours vary based on your child's assessment results, age, and treatment goals, and are determined by the supervising BCBA and approved by your insurance provider. Hours are reassessed regularly to ensure your child is receiving the appropriate level of support.
Your child's care team typically includes a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) who designs and oversees the treatment plan, along with Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) who implement therapy under BCBA supervision. All staff are trained and supervised to ensure consistent, high-quality care.
Absolutely. Parent and caregiver involvement is a core part of successful ABA treatment. We provide regular parent training sessions to help you reinforce strategies at home and generalize skills across all environments.
The duration of therapy varies widely and depends on your child's individual goals, rate of progress, and ongoing assessment results. Some children transition out of intensive ABA within a couple months or years, while others with more complex needs may benefit from longer-term, lower-intensity support well into adolescence.
